About the Project
The main goal of this project is to study human behavior, tick exposure, and the risk of Lyme disease using a citizen science approach through a smartphone application.
By contributing data, users help researchers understand where and how people are exposed to ticks, enabling the development of better prevention strategies to reduce tick bites and tick-borne diseases.
How the Tick App Works
After registration, users complete a baseline survey to assess their risk. During high-risk months (May to September), they are invited to fill out a short daily tick diary reporting activities and tick encounters.
The app also provides guidance on tick removal, prevention, and general educational information about ticks.
Dashboard Purpose
This dashboard is designed to support data management and analysis by allowing users to:
- Upload and validate new datasets
- Explore participant and survey data
- Monitor data quality and completeness
- Generate summaries and visualizations
Your contribution helps improve our understanding of tick exposure and supports public health research.
